Dyson V8 vs V12

Dyson v8 vs v12 – Check Which One Is Best & Why?

Vacuum Cleaner

Dyson V12 was released in June 2022 & V8 was released in 2016. Both Vacuums are amazing and have some similarities, but if you are looking for the best one for better performance, I would recommend the Dyson V12 rather than the V8.

Why Do I recommend the Dyson V12?

  • The Dyson V12 offers 150 AW suction power on boost mode, and the V8 has 115 AW suction power. Comparable to the V8, the V12 can offer you a better cleaning experience.
  • It has an intelligent Piezo power sensor that detects floor type while cleaning & sets the suction power by itself, which makes sure effortless cleaning. Dyson V8 doesn’t have any intelligent power sensor.
  • It can give you better performance on bare floors, low-pile carpets & high-pile carpet, but V8 will disappoint you in high-pile carpet cleaning.
  • Dyson V12 has an LCD digital screen to let you know the battery status, cleaning mood, and filter status. which is good for tracking your vacuum cleaner. V8 doesn’t have it.
  • It has a Laser Slim Fluffy cleaning head to capture debris of all sizes. This head also has a green LED light that shines on the floor at an angle to help reveal even the smallest debris types, But the V8 Doesn’t have it.
  • The maximum hose airflow of Dyson V12 is 60.03 CFM, and the V8 is 54.4 CFM, which means that V15 can create more airflow to collect the dust in the bag and the container.
  • The digital motor in the Dyson V12 can spin at up to 125,000 rpm, and the Dyson V8 can spin at up to 108,000 rpm. The faster spin speed is another way that the V12 can generate greater suction than the V8.
  • Dyson V8’s noise level is higher than the Dyson V12. Its noise level is 73 decibels, and V12’s is 70 decibels. Therefore, working with Dyson V12 is more peaceful than Dyson V8.
  • After charging for 4 hours, you can run Dyson V8 for 45 minutes, but V12 can run only 70 minutes after charging for 4 hours.
  • You will get Headlights in Dyson V12, which will help you When you clean under furniture or in dark corners. It can also highlight fine dust, helping you ensure the area is clean. V8 doesn’t have it.

Maybe the Dyson V8 price can make you comfortable because it’s a little bit cheaper than the V12. But you have to compromise all the above-mentioned features. Now the Decision is Yours. I hope it was helpful to choose the right one.

  • Both cordless vacuum cleaners offer anti-allergy HEPA filters, which provide the best capture of allergens, dust, and pollen than many other filters. It catches 99.9% of dust and allergens, which could be even 0.3 microns in size. The filters are washable and reusable.
  • They both contain Turbo Brush. This type of brush is particularly effective for carpets, rugs, sofas, upholstery, bedding, and more because its suction penetrates the heart of the fibers to remove dust, debris, and even embedded animal hairs.

Faq

  • Is V8 newer than V12?
The Dyson V8 was released in the US in 2016, while the V12 was released in 2022.
  • Is it okay to leave Dyson V12 in charge?
Yes. The battery is designed to be left on charge permanently, and this will ensure that the vacuum is fully charged when it’s next used. Once the battery is fully charged, your machine won’t use any more electricity and will enter a standby/idle state.
  • Is the Dyson V8 good?
The Dyson V8 is good for low-pile carpets. It clears a decent amount of fine and large debris on low-pile carpeting, though you might still need to make another pass to collect everything. Thankfully, it’s highly effective at dealing with pet hair.
  • What is the difference between Dyson V8 and V12?
The V12 is a better option for heavier-duty cleaning sessions, thanks to a more powerful motor that helps clear debris on carpeted floors more effectively. It also has a larger dustbin that won’t need emptying as often. The V10 is notably lighter, making it easier to pick up and carry from room to room.
  • Why is the Dyson V12 so good?
Like the majority of the other Dyson vacuums I tested, the V12 Detect comes with two heads: one fluffy roller meant for hard surfaces and one with a hair-detangling tool for rugs and carpets. It also turns into a hand vac easily, as do all Dyson cordless models.
