Canon M6 Mark ii vs M50 – Which Is the Best & Why?

Canon

Canon M6 Mark II was released in August 2019, and M50 in February 2018. Both Cameras are Amazing with some similarities, but if you are looking for the best one I would recommend you to buy Canon M6 Mark II rather than M50.

Why Do I Recommend Canon M6 Mark II?

  • Canon M6 Mark ii has 33 megapixels camera sensor, whereas M50 has a 24-megapixel sensor. A better megapixel camera helps to capture images and videos in higher Resolution with more details.
  • Its continuous shooting speed is 14 fps, Which means it can take up to 14 pictures in a second whereas M50 can take up to 10.  This feature helps to Capture perfect shoot of fast-moving objects like Racing bikes.
  • Canon M6 Mark ii has Eye-detecting AF that locks on the eye and tracks the subject while they are moving. It’s very helpful while you are making vlogs or any other kind of Videos. Canon M50 Doesn’t have it.
  • Anti Flicker feature is available on Canon M6 Mark II that helps to reduce uneven color and exposure under flickering light but M50 Doesn’t have it.
  • It has a focus bracketing option, which allows you to take several images with different points of focus. M50 doesn’t allow you to do that.
  • You will have a better run-time backup on this camera as it can shoot 305 shots with a single charge. Contrary, the Canon M50 can shoot only 235 shots per charge.

Maybe the Canon M50 price can make you comfortable because it’s little bit cheaper than the M6 Mark II. But you have to compromise all the above-mentioned features, which is not a good idea.  After all, the choice is yours.
